BIOGRAPHY
Prior to becoming the Owner and Director of Sharper Edge Fitness, Mack worked as a Personal Trainer at Functions of Life – Cleveland Fitness and Performance. His employment at Functions led to the implementation of a Barbell Strength Class while also leading small group training sessions, team strength and conditioning programs, group fitness classes, and personal one-on-one training.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Parma Senior High School in 2013, Mack went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ashland University in 2019. In 2020, he then received his master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science – Strength and Conditioning. Mack chose to walk onto the football team in 2014 to pursue his dream of playing college football. During his collegiate athletic years at Ashland, he earned a spot as starting fullback and many awards over the next three years. His athletic accomplishments included a three-year letterman, an accountability captain for two years, the Offensive True Grit award, and the Lifter of the Year award for breaking almost every weight room record for his position.
He continued his involvement with athletics at Ashland University by working as a Strength and Conditioning intern, a part time position coach for football, and a graduate assistant equipment manager while earning his master’s degree. Prior to graduating, Mack also worked with Jump Start Sports as a Program Director and camp counselor and at Athletic Performance Training Center during his breaks and summers away from Ashland. Mack accepted a role as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at D1 Sports Training in Columbus, Ohio during his last semester of his master’s degree program and worked there until accepting his role at Functions of Life.
